Sharad Purnima 2023: Date, Time, and Significance, each and everything we will discus here his is an important festival of our country as we call it by the name of Sharad Purnima. It is also believed that Goddess Lakshmi arrives on earth, hence the house should be kept clean on this day. This time Sharad Purnima is falling on 28 October 2023. With this Sharad Purnima, after many years such a yoga is being formed in which this time a lunar eclipse is also occurring along with the full moon. This time Gaja Kesari Yoga is also being formed. So, Sharad Purnima

The date will start from 4:17 AM on Saturday, 28th October 2023 and will continue till 1:53 AM on 28th and 29th October.

Lunar eclipse

The timing will start from 1:06 AM on 28th-29th October and will continue till 2:22 AM on 28th-29th October.

Sutak of Lunar Eclipse

Sutak period will be of 9 hours for healthy people as described in our scriptures Nirjan Sindhu.

Start time: 28 October 2023 from 4:44 pm

Sutak will be observed for sick and children from 10:06 pm onwards.

Tomorrow the moon will rise at 5:20 pm, hence neither the moon nor Maa Lakshmi will be worshiped tomorrow night, in such a situation, Goddess Lakshmi and the moon should be worshiped before applying Sutak, i.e. at 4:44 pm. Puja should be done before pm.

Tomorrow is Choghadiya Muhurta, various measures can be taken in it like:

Shubh Lagan: 7:54 am to 9:17 am

Chara Lagan: 12:05 pm to 1:28 pm

Amrit Lagan: 2:52 pm to 4:16 pm

Goddess Lakshmi and Kubera can be worshiped before applying Sutak.

Along with Shri Sukta and Lakshmi Sukta, Vishnu Sahasranama can be recited during eclipse also. Worship them by applying saffron and turmeric and after completion of the puja, it should be kept in your safe before the Sutak is applied i.e. before 4:44 pm. This will bring wealth, happiness and prosperity to your home because there is no better yoga than this.

It is believed that on the full moon day of Shukla Paksha, nectar rains from the moon. On this day, kheer is prepared at night, kept under the open sky and consumed as prasad in the morning. Doing this cures all types of diseases and ailments. become l

Then prepare the kheer before 4:44 pm. Put one or a few basils leaves in the kheer. Keep the kheer in the moonlight till 10:00 pm during the Sutak period. Purify the house the next day. Consuming it with family after taking bath will not cause any fault.

It is said that Goddess Lakshmi was born on the day of Sharad Purnima. Therefore, on this day Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped in which fruits and coconuts are offered to her. Special pujas are organized in temples. When Lord Shri Krishna was born in Dwapar Yuga, Mother Lakshmi incarnated in the form of Radha and the wonderful Raasleela of Lord Shri Krishna and Radha is also considered to begin on the day of Sharad Purnima.

It is also described in the Puranas that Karthik, the son of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, was born on the same day of Sharad Purnima, hence it is also called Kumar Purnima. In West Bengal and Orissa, unmarried girls take bath in the morning on this day and go to the moon. She is worshiped due to which it is believed that her Yoga and Ki are attained, hence it is also known as Kumudi Mahotsav, Rasotsav and other names.
